RESTOR has recently teamed up with The Dan Naulty Pitching Academy to develop a comprehensive program for baseball
players in general. Dan Naulty is a former Major League pitcher winning a World Series title with the New York Yankees
in 1999. His career was cut short due to an arm injury that he developed after years of throwing improperly. He formed
the Dan Naulty Pitching Academy to teach young athletes to throw using proper technique and preventing arm problems that
affect so many young players today. Dan utilizes the principles of pitching based on the Nolan Ryan protocol that he
learned late in his career.
RESTOR has added the strength and conditioning component to the program improving the body for the demands of throwing
correctly. Specific conditioning drills and exercises are used to develop strength and power in the legs, trunk and
shoulder.Yoga based therapy is used to improve range of motion of the legs and trunk allowing for each pitcher and
position player to exert force from the larger muscles of the body, ultimately reduce arm stress.
RESTOR staff works with Dan at his weekly clinic and has gained an intimate knowledge of the proper mechanics of
pitching and the specific demands of baseball. We assist in the teaching, and planning and implementation of the
strength and conditioning components. This includes proper warm up, footwork and agility, plyometrics, stretching,
base running technique and speed development. We treat and train many pitchers and position players in our clinic
from high school, college and professional ranks.
